Fake eggs for cockatiels are a simple and useful accessory during the breeding season, designed to help breeders and enthusiasts manage brooding in a more controlled way. They are used to temporarily replace the real eggs laid by the female, keeping the nest complete and encouraging more regular brooding behaviour.
This practice makes it possible to store the real eggs until laying is complete and then place them back in the nest all together, encouraging more synchronised hatching. In this way, the chicks hatch closer together and have a better chance of growing more evenly, without the first-born chicks gaining too great an advantage over the smaller ones.
Made of plastic, lightweight and easy to handle, these fake eggs are suitable for cockatiels and can also be used for parakeets. The pack contains 4 fake eggs, each measuring 2.2 x h 3 cm. They are a practical accessory for nests and home breeding, useful for anyone who wants to carefully follow the reproduction stages and offer better conditions for the brood.
